Ekonomska povijest i politička ekonomija:

Economic History and Political Economy:
Croatia since 1918
Institucionalna analiza i modeli rasta primijenjeni na gospodarski razvoj Hrvatske Institutional analysis and growth models applied to Croatia's economic development
Novi okvir za ekonomsku povijest Hrvatske A New Framework for Croatian Economic History
The EPPE project applies institutional analysis — path dependency and institutional complementarities — as well as growth models (demand-side, supply-side, structural analysis) to phases of Croatia's economic development since 1918. This interdisciplinary approach bridges political science and economic history, addressing a gap in Croatian and regional scholarship.
Teorijski okvirTheoretical Framework

MetodologijaMethodology
Kombinacija klasičnih i inovativnih metoda u ekonomskoj povijesti: dva istraživačka putovanja te digitalizacija i obrada arhivske građe. Combination of classical and innovative methods: two research trips, and digitization and processing of archival materials.
Nastava i literaturaTeaching & Literature
Zbornik koji nastaje u okviru projekta poslužit će kao nastavni materijal za kolegij Ekonomska povijest Hrvatske od 1918., odgovarajući na zamijećen nedostatak literature primjerene studentima politologije. The edited volume produced by the project will serve as teaching material for the course Economic History of Croatia since 1918, addressing a gap in literature suitable for political science students.

Krize u hrvatskoj ekonomskoj povijesti Crises in Croatian Economic History
2,5 ECTS · 2025/26Radionica Krize u hrvatskoj ekonomskoj povijesti održana je na Fakultetu političkih znanosti u akademskoj godini 2025./2026. Studente vodi kroz ključne krizne epizode od 1918. do danas — gospodarske potrese Kraljevine SHS i Jugoslavije, krize socijalističkog razdoblja, slom i transformaciju ranih 1990-ih, Veliku recesiju 2009.–2014. te pandemijski šok 2020. Svaka se epizoda analizira teorijskim okvirom projekta: institucionalnim naslijeđem, ovisnošću o prijeđenom putu i modelima rasta. The workshop Crises in Croatian Economic History was held at the Faculty of Political Science in the 2025/26 academic year. It takes students through the key crisis episodes from 1918 to the present — the economic upheavals of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes and of Yugoslavia, the crises of the socialist period, the collapse and transformation of the early 1990s, the Great Recession of 2009–2014, and the COVID-19 shock of 2020. Each episode is analysed through the project's framework: institutional legacies, path dependency, and growth models.
Simulacijska metodaSimulation Method
Središnja metodološka inovacija radionice je simulacija u kojoj studenti preuzimaju uloge ključnih aktera hrvatske političke ekonomije — Hrvatske narodne banke, Vlade (fiskalna i dohodovna politika), sindikata javnog i privatnog sektora te poslodavaca. U svakoj rundi formuliraju konkretne mjere ekonomske politike, pregovaraju i ulaze u distributivne konflikte. Model potom projicira makroekonomske posljedice njihovih odluka i uspoređuje ih s povijesnim tijekom događaja. The workshop's central methodological innovation is a simulation in which students take on the roles of key actors in Croatian political economy — the Croatian National Bank, the Government (fiscal and incomes policy), public- and private-sector trade unions, and employers. In each round they formulate concrete policy measures, negotiate, and enter into distributive conflicts. The model then projects the macroeconomic consequences of their decisions and compares them against the actual historical record.
